A high -level parliamentary delegation from Bahrein has arrived in Islamabad in an official visit by invitation of the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, authorities said.
According to a statement by the Secretariat of the National Assembly, the delegation will participate in high -level meetings in Islamabad during its four -day visit, from February 16 to February 19.
The delegation is directed by Dr. Ahmed Bin Salman Al-Musallam, President of the Council of Representatives of Bahrein.
Dr. Al-Musallam and his delegation will meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the president of the Senate, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, and the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
They will also maintain discussions with the coordinator and members of the Pakistan-Bahrein Friendship Group, along with other political and parliamentary figures.
The Pak-Bahrein Friendship Group Member Chaudhry Shahbaz Babar extended a warm welcome to the delegation upon arrival at the airport.
The meetings will focus on strengthening parliamentary relations, deepening bilateral cooperation and addressing regional matters of mutual interest.
Pakistan and Bahrain share long -standing ties based on religious, cultural and historical connections. This visit marks a significant step to further improve its association and expand collaboration in several sectors.
In addition to the official commitments, the Bahrain delegation will visit cultural and historical sites in Islamabad, promoting the strongest ties of people to people between the two nations.
