LAHORE:
Despite the EID festivities, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday celebrated consecutive meetings, discussing the country’s security situation with particular reference to Baluchistan.
He met for the first time with Baluchistan’s prime minister, Sarfaraz Bugti, who reported it on the situation in his province. The prime minister also met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, separately to obtain an informative session on the general security situation.
In his meeting with the main minister of Baluchistan, the prime minister held detailed discussions on economic, social and law and order situation in Baluchistan. The current development projects, initiated by the federal government in Baluchistan, were also discussed at the meeting.
The Premier emphasized to provide all possible support for the development of Baluchistan. He reaffirmed that the development of Baluchistan was among the main priorities of the federal government and all possible measures would be taken in that regard.
Interior Minister
Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi requested Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday and informed him about national security and ongoing developments in the country.
He also extended Eidul Fitr greetings to Prime Minister and discussed security measures. He also informed the Prime Minister about the progress of the repatriation process of Afghan citizens.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the situation of law and order, especially during EID days. Affairs related to the Ministry of Interior were also discussed during the meeting.
