Miranshah:

The Tribal District of Waziristan in northern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has emerged once again as a focal point of security concerns after a specific explosion in a bank building in the heart of Mir Ali Bazaar.

In the early hours of Friday morning, unidentified assailants used explosives to destroy a branch of a commercial bank that had been inactive for several months due to prevailing threats.

According to police sources, the branch had already been closed and its staff moved to Bannu in the midst of growing security fears.
However, the building remained vulnerable, and in the days prior to the attack, unidentified individuals submitted to facilities furniture, pointing to a premeditated act.

No victims were reported in the explosion. The authorities have initiated an investigation and compiled forensic evidence of the site.
While officials suspect the participation of extremist elements, they emphasize that the definitive conclusions can only be taken after the investigation concludes.

In a related development, security agencies parked in the Razmak subdivision have marked possible threats and requested restrictions around their operating camp.

In response, the district administration has issued a notification that prohibits all forms of civil activity (residence, movement and construction) within a one -kilometer radius of the camp.

The order clearly establishes that any violation will place the charge of responsibility for the resulting damages in the offender.

Recent incidents have caused anxiety among local residents and merchants, who ask for urgent and effective measures to restore peace.
