In line with the directive of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, party legislators have begun to resign the permanent committees of the National Assembly. The president of PTI, the lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, presented on Wednesday 18 resignations to the Na speaker’s office.
Those Who Steptped Down From The Chairmanships and Meberships of Various Committees Include Junaid Akbar, Sahibzada Saifullah, Mahbob Shah, Shahzada Gustasab, Ali Jadoon, Mujahid Ali, Malik Anwar Taj, Fazal Muhammad Khan, Sajid Khan, Arbab Amir Amir, Arbab Amir, Arbab Amir, Arbab Amir, Arbab Amir Ayub, Asif Khan, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Arshad Sahi, Malik Amir Dogar, Shabbir Ali Qureshi and Awais Jhakkar.
Barrimer Gohar himself resigned from four committees: Law and Justice, Human Rights, Information Technology and the Business Advisory Committee of the House of Representatives.
Later, Shehryar Afridi, Mobeen Arif Jatt, Usama Mala and PTI Sher Afzal Marwat leader also presented his resignations to the president of the party.
Taking X, Malik Amir Dogar wrote: “For the present, I resign from the permanent committees of the National Assembly according to the directive of my leader Imran Khan.”
He added that he was a true soldier of Imran Khan, and that no position had greater meaning for him than his leader. “The only purpose of my policy is to carry out the mission of Imran Khan, the true independence of Pakistan and the service of the people,” said Dogar.
It is pertinent to mention that Imran Khan had instructed PTI legislators to renounce NA committees after the Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) disqualified several party leaders following their conviction in cases of disturbances on May 9.
A day before, the president of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the National Assembly, Junaid Akbar, resigned. Information by PTI Sheikh Waqas Akram’s secretary also resigned from PAC and the Information Committee. “After the instructions of our leader Imran Khan, I presented my resignation this morning of the Public Accounts Committee and the Information Committee,” he said in X.
