Battlefield 6 players, stop creating Call of Duty Portal maps if you don’t want a permanent ban from EA

  • EA has threatened to ban a Battlefield 6 user for recreating a Call of Duty map
  • The user received an email warning and was warned of a possible ban if they tried again.
  • EA hasn’t made an official statement yet, but its stance on map knockoffs is now clearer

It’s been over a week since EA Battlefield 6 was released and the new multiplayer FPS title is still in the spotlight thanks to its high critical praise, but there is one aspect that players using the game’s creative tools need to be very careful of.

As reported by Insider Gaming, EA is apparently shutting down Portal Obligations maps created by players in Battlefield 6and has threatened to temporarily or permanently ban a user if they try again, in an email. EA appears to consider this a violation of its rules of conduct, classifying the creation of the map as an “inappropriate reference.”
