EA has confirmed that Battlefield 6 It will not work on the Steam deck, but there are other PC laptops in which the game will be executed.
That is according to the executive vice president of EA, Vince Zampella, who verified the lack of support for the steam cover in an interview with Pcgamesn in the Battlefield 6 Multiplayer revelation event, when asked about the game that is potentially run on the hand -game computers such as the Valve console or the Allied of Asus Rog.
“It doesn’t work on the steam deck,” Zampella said. “I think there are some portable platforms of non -stimes mallets in which it will work, probably? But I don’t think, you know, it’s probably not the best way to play.”
Although the Executive did not offer a reason why the next first-person shooter will not run on the steam platform, it is probably due to EA anti-treatment software, which is incompatible with Linux.
In terms of the Nintendo Switch 2, Zampella also confirmed that EA has no current plan to bring Battlefield 6 to the last console.
“We are not changing yet,” he said. “Well, I’m not saying that we are. I just say that we are not considering it right now.”
During the multiplayer revelation event, it was announced that Battlefield 6 will be launched on October 10, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
There will also be an early access period from August 7 to 8, followed by the open betas from August 9 to 10, then again from August 14 to 17.
