Disney Imagineering has done many wonderful things, but BDX droids, also known as the trio of sometimes, drugs of rapid movement, animated and beep, hit the rest as the most adorable and fun. They have been food at the Disneyland Galaxy Edge, Galaxy’s Edge West for those who know it, and will soon be approved for intergalactic missions.
Announced in SXSW 2025 during the “The Future of World Building at Disney” panel of Disney Experiences, BDX droids are reaching other Disney parks worldwide. Disney World, Tokyo Disney Resort and Disneyland Paris will get an additional dose of Star Wars fun courtesy of BDX droids.
I am delighted to see Disney World included, specifically the Hollywood studies, since that is where Galaxy’s Edge is. I am from New Jersey and I have never been in Disneyland. Even so, this will give innumerable people in Florida, Tokyo and Paris the opportunity to see droids lovers in person.

When BDX droids premiered for the first time in Disneyland, a droid coach presented them as built from other parts and were explorers. With the ability to take picture scan, bend the head and even perform a small dance, they are simply adorable and much less dystopic than other robots that we have seen.
Four actuators in the head and neck and five in each leg allow the robot to move and balance on one foot. Disney Imagineering also includes several computers, an adjustable battery, LED screens behind the eyes, speakers, a flashlight and antennas, among other technologies.
In addition, Disney Imagineering BDX droids will also appear in the next Mandalorian and Grogu movie, which arrives at theaters on May 22, 2026. You can see photos of them on the set of the film above, and in the Gallery below.
We will have to see if they are friends or enemies for Grogu and the main character. Time will say it, but we have a long way to go.

One of the best Disneyland and Disney World walks is about to look different

While Rise of the Resistance at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Disney World is probably the current showstopper attraction, Disney’s dedication Smugglers Run, the original openness attraction for the earth, a highly anticipated update.

Fantastic Four ‘Mister Fantastic, invisible Woman, Human Torch and Thing will arrive in Disneylandia
While the first half of the panel focused on Star Wars, there is good news for Marvel fans. We are all counting the days until The Fantastic Four: First Steps He arrives at theaters on July 25, 2025.
And if you have had one of the fantastic in your desire list for some time, you can do it in Disneyland. Upon arriving at the Tomorrowland Park in the summer of 2025 (end of May at the beginning of September), you will find new experiences and you can meet the main characters: Lord Fantastic, invisible woman, human torch and thing.
There will also be another robot, Herbie, will make your realistic debut during these experiences. The main characters will arrive first, while Herbie is still working with Marvel and Disney Imagineering.
