Michelle Beadle admitted to having been surprised by the news that one of the new Stephen A. Smith programs, which will be launched in September, will take over its schedule at Siriusxm Mad Dog Sports Radio.

Beadle said it was “a little shameful” to learn his program, “Beadle and Decker”, with Cody Decker, will not be transmitted at the same time from 12 to 3 pm et every day of the week because Smith joins the rotation of the show.

“Yes, then the cat is out of the bag. I think we are talking about that,” Beadle said during the program episode on Wednesday.

“They were not supposed to do so, just like a warning. They only gave us a few hours in advance, but they did not tell us any details. We were promised that details would not be disseminated. We did not even know who was taking our place in the alignment, only that it would be announced that a new show was being added.”

Beadle added that he discovered what was happening through the details of the Hollywood Reporter about Smith joining Siriusxm.

“Without us knowing, The Hollywood Reporter, of course, had all the details,” said Beadle. “So, it was a bit shameful, I’m not going to lie. I’ve been in this business for more than 20 years. They have missed me a couple of times. This did not feel good, I’m not going to lie.”

During his time in the air, Beadle never mentioned Smith, who works for his former employer, ESPN. Beadle organized the “NBA countdown” of the network before leaving the network in 2019.

Beadle is also the presenter of “Run It Back” of Fanduel TV, which is a NBA -centered program.

Smith announced that he would join Siriusxm in an agreement of several years during an appearance in “The Howard Stern Show” on Wednesday. He is scheduled to begin on September 2 with his opinions on the largest sports issues, while he has a second show that will be his opinion on “weekly events, pop culture” and more. That program does not yet have a debut date announced.

“To say that I am excited would be euphemism,” Smith said about his agreement with Siriusxm, according to the New York Post. “I have been in Mad Dog before, I have had the best moment of my life. So, I love the fact that I am meeting with my boy, Mad Dog, on his grass. That, in himself, is something beautiful. But then add a weekly show where I have a powerful platform to discuss trailer issues in the world of pop culture, politics and social comments … Let’s say it doesn’t have better than that.
