The chief coach of the Chicago Bears, Ben Johnson, was already criticized in the first game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings while observing an advantage of the fourth quarter.
The NFL Peyton Manning legend, half of the ESPN “Manningcast” hosts during the games Monday night, criticized how Johnson drove a key moment after a Touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to Rome Odunze.

Chicago’s touchdown arrived with remaining 2:02. The Bears had a waiting time and it may have been a good idea that the resulting initial serve left the limits so that the clock stops in the two -minute warning. Instead, the beginning was for the Vikings Returizer, Ty Chandler, and Minnesota chief coach Kevin O’Connell, told Chandler to take the ball. The two -minute strike was burned and the Bears had very little time to make any type of offense in their next possession.
Manning was heard in the alternative transmission by saying that the bears should have expelled it from the limits.

“Kevin O’Connell said they spent a lot of time in situational football,” he said after the Bears scored, through Pro Football Talk. “This should be a good situational football for both sides here. The Kick Return team for Minnesota has to run, and if they are on the side of the kick, Minnesota has to find a way to make him take two seconds.”
While the Bears decided to kick the ball instead of going to a side kick, Manning was sure they would take it out of the limits. But they didn’t.
“Patalo of limits. Take the penalty, it is at 40,” he said. “Now you have the waiting time and the two -minute warning. Outside the limits. Not outside the final area, outside the limits.”
Johnson admitted during the press conference after the game that kicking the ball in the scoring area was not the intention.
