The royal status of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie has once again been the subject of discussion after they were accused of a practice associated with their scandalous parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
Despite not being active royals, the sisters have been involved in various charities and personal work in the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
According to royal commentator Andrew Lownie, Beatriz and Eugenia receive a protocol based on their royal titles, which they should “report”, especially after their father’s arrest.
Moving away from royal privileges, “the first thing they should do is because that’s why there’s interest,” he said.
“She is always HRH Princess Beatrice when she does things to promote business in the Middle East – that is using her royal position. She is really Mrs Mapelli Mozzi now, but if she were labeled that, no one would give her a few minutes,” Lownie said.
Several details related to Beatrice and Eugenie in Epstein’s files also made headlines. A key point that surprised fans was when Beatrice, 20, and Eugenie, 19, joined their mother, Fergie, for lunch with Epstein, despite his well-known crimes.
according to Expressstated the royal expert: “Therefore, they must stop using their royal status to make money, which is exactly what their parents did.”
Furthermore, it also raised questions about the true intention behind Beatrice and Eugenie’s humanitarian work. Mr Lownie said: “Is it about laundering their reputation or is it a genuine desire to help? Are they paid to do things?”
