Adrenaline was pumping for Austrian snowboarder Benjamin Karl after winning his second consecutive Olympic gold medal in the men’s giant slalom on Sunday.

And that adrenaline made him not feel the cold temperatures, while he tore off his jacket and clothes to celebrate.

Karl, 40, flexed his arms and screamed, tearing off his jacket and four layers of clothing during his celebration. He was even seen face down in the snow, which was probably cold, but he didn’t care.

Karl was an Olympic gold medalist again and that’s all that mattered at the time.

Before his medal run, Karl was behind South Korean Kim Sang-kyum for most of the final race, when he made the most of Kim’s mistake.

The crowd at the Livigno Snow Park enjoyed every moment of Karl’s celebration, which certainly figures prominently in the initial reactions to winning gold in Milano Cortina so far.

After the celebration, Karl finally got dressed and joined Kim and Zamfirov on the podium.

As the Austrian national anthem played, Karl’s smile never faded.
