The president of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has requested an urgent national consensus and special attention to the security situation in Baluchistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, which describes as a critic for the stability of the country, said Express News.
Speaking at the house of Governor Punjab in Lahore on Monday, Bilawal expressed a deep concern about the deterioration of the situation of law and order in the two provinces. He stressed that the entire nation, along with all political parties, must join to face the threat of terrorism.
“All parties must join the country and the nation,” he said. “If the opposition wants to participate in politics, it must focus on public problems. This is the time to make collective decisions in the interest of Pakistan.”
Bilawal emphasized the importance of neglecting political differences to prioritize national security and unity. “We need to pay special attention to Baluchistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,” he added, urging all interested parties to work towards consensus on national matters.
