Bilawal hits water politicization like ‘hybrid war’

Islamabad:

The president of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, said Wednesday that the politicization of water by violating the Water Treaty (IWT) was a form of “hybrid war” and if it continued, future generations would be at war for water.

Talking to the media only a few days after Pakistan and India agreed to stop the fire after intense exchanges of drones and missiles, the head of PPP warned that the affirmation of India of “new normality” in cross -border conflicts ran the risk of damaging peace and regional stability, especially between the two neighbors of nuclear weapons.

He related the comments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Sindoor operation that establishes a new standard. Bilawal said Pakistan acted in moderation and had only exercised his right to self -defense. “The international community recognized our responsible behavior.”

“The new normality of India’s aggression is not sustainable and is certainly not of interest,” said Bilawal. “This approach, rooted in hatred and division, only increases tensions,” he added.

Bilawal will lead a high -level delegation assigned by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit world capitals, with the aim of informing foreign governments, media and parliaments about Pakistan’s position and the recent actions of India.

He said that lasting peace in southern Asia remained impossible without solving key problems, including the dispute of Jammu and Kashmir, cross -border terrorism and the alleged weapon of the water resources of India.

Accompanying Bilawal, the climate minister, Musadik Malik, accused India of attacking civilians and building a false domain narrative. “His Rafale aircraft fell like birds,” he said, referring to Indian military losses.

The former Foreign Minister Khurram Dastgir also part of the delegation, said that the position of India reflected an anti-mulman and antipakistan agenda. “This is not the conduct of a responsible state,” he added.
