The president of the Popular Party of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has described on July 5 as the darkest day in the country’s history.
In a message on July 5, the day when the government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was shot down by a military dictator, the president of the PPP said it was the day when the democratic trip was derailed through tyranny. He said that Quaid-E-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto became the voice of people without a voice and gave him a bad dignity.
The purpose of the July 5 tragedy was to quell the voice of the people and usurped the powers. Despite the tragedy and persecution, Quaid-E-Awan’s dream remained alive. The dictatorship, which was imposed after July 5, began a series of terrorism and destruction of democratic institutions, Bilawal said.
The president of the PPP reiterated to continue the fight for the realization of the dream of Benazir Bhutto and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The vision provides for the people of Pakistan powerful and the Supreme Constitution.
He said that the PPP never committed to the principles despite the fact that its leaders and workers languished in prisons.
He expressed his resolution to continue the fight until Pakistan becomes a democratic, peaceful and prosperous country.
