The Pakistani delegation, directed by the former Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, concluded his Brussels tour, asking European leaders to help climb the tensions with India after a high fragile fire in May.
The delegation was formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to present Islamabad’s perspective about his recent conflict with India. The tour was aimed at obtaining international support, particularly from the European Union, to prevent greater escalation between the two neighbors with nuclear weapons.
“We must remove the region from the edge of the war,” Bilawal said in a statement on social networks, urging Europe to act as an defender of the international order based on rules.

During his visit to Brussels, the delegation met with the EU parliamentarians, the EU commission, Belgian leadership, international thoughts and foreign media. The delegation pressed for dialogue and anti -terrorism cooperation with India, emphasizing the dangers of a nuclear conflict.
He also highlighted the challenges raised by the suspension of India of the 1960 Indo Water Treaty, which governs the shared use of the Indo River system.
The Pakistani delegation expressed serious concerns about the “weapon” of the water resources of India and requested restriction after the high -fire agreement negotiated by Washington in May.
“Europe, as a defender of international law, should help us to decline this situation,” Bilawal said. He also raised concerns about the risk of more water conflicts, and pointed out that the Indo Water Treaty had not yet been revived despite the fire.

Sherry Rehman, a prominent member of the delegation, said that although some members would return to Pakistan, others would visit Strasbourg for more discussions. She emphasized that the global diplomatic framework must be restored to counteract growth tensions over international law.
