Bill Belichick focuses solely on revitalizing the North Carolina Tar Heels football program in the first university training period of his illustrious career.
But his new book, “The art of winning: lessons of my life in football,” Belichick reflects on his time with the New England patriots.
And although there are a lot of lessons to learn about success and what is needed to win the Vince Lombardi trophy, Belichick revealed a great repentance that he had for a decision he made while led the way in Foxborough, one that made twice.

The Post New York informs a complete chapter dedicated to “errors”, which, does not be able to keep Tom Brady a patriot throughout his career.
However, Belichick also mentions a particular MVP Seafood in the League today: Lamar Jackson.
When Jackson was recruited in 32nd in general in 2018, the Baltimore Ravens returned to the first round to catch him with the final selection the first day. Since then, he has won two MVP awards in seven seasons, although he has not had the success of the postseason he would like on the way.
Bill Belichick does not mention Robert Kraft in a new book: Report
The Patriots come from a defeat to the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, giving them general selection 31 in the 2018 NFL Draft. They would select Sony Michel from Georgia in that place instead of taking Jackson. The Philadelphia Eagles, winners of the Super Bowl during the 2017 season, changed their number 32 to the Ravens, and the rest is history.
But why twice? Well, the Patriots possessed the selection No. 23 before in the NFL draft, which they used in the offensive Tackle/Guardia Isaiah Wynn, another product of Georgia, which was stacked its line in front of Brady.

However, Brady was about to be 41 years old, and while still acted, the team had to think about the future in the most important position in sport.
It was not an immediate repentance for the Patriots, since they would win the Super Bowl on the Rams of Los Angeles, where Michel limited a rookie season with 931 yards and six touchdowns. Wynn also began 50 games for the Patriots from 2019 to 2022.
Now, Jackson did not have a roaring beginning of his career, with Joe Flacco still the veteran option on him in the depth table. But when it was time to pass the initial tasks to Jackson, he took off under John Harbaugh. The Ravens arrived at the playoffs five of the next six seasons after the Super Bowl of the Patriots, while things began to crumble slowly in Foxborough.
Brady left before the 2020 season, and he won the Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who also used Rob Gronkowski in the closed wing.

The Patriots would take Mac Jones 15 in general in the NFL 2021 draft with the hope that he would be the correct answer in the position. And although they arrived at the playoffs in their rookie campaign, he did not broadcast in the long term when the Patriots recorded under .500 seasons for three consecutive years.
