Bill Belichick won six Super Bowls during his historic mandate with the New England Patriots who lasted almost a quarter of a century.
Belichick and the Patriots agreed to separate after the 2023 season. Each NFL team decided to spend the six -time champion coach during the 2024 hiring cycle. Earlier this year, Belichick reached an agreement with North Carolina football to become the next chief coach of the program.
But before his first season at Chapel Hill begins in the fall, Belichick reflected on his historic career as a professional football coach in his new book, “The art of winning.” However, a “controversial” comparison of the field marshal Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes in the book is in the headlines.

Brady, a seven -time Super Bowl winner, is widely considered one of the best players, if not the best of all time, in the history of the League. Brady withdrew “for good” after season 2022. But Patrick Mahomes has reached the last three Super Bowls, winning two, it is often known as the best signal of the active NFL signal.
Belichick argued that both players are “really good.”

“I have never committed to this discussion with my good friend Andy Reid, the chief coach of the Kansas City bosses, but I have little doubt that he will write his own book one day and affirm that he had the best QB of all time,” Belichick wrote, 73.
The former NFL coach then recognized the “controversial” nature of his opinion, writing: “Do you know what? Brady and Patrick Mahomes are really good. Controversial, I know.”

Belichick continued to explain that his opinion focused on the ability of both field marshal to handle success.
He then pointed out the availability of media after the Mohamses game after the Kansas City chiefs won a game in 2024. Belichick highlighted how Mohamses decided to concentrate on how he was “losing opportunities” instead of his personal feats. The Tar Heels coach suggested that it was an excellent example of leadership.

“This type of comment is music for my ears. I can’t have enough,” Belichick said. “It is fundamentally an example of elite leadership. Very similar to when we would win a game with Tom 28-10 and then I would say: ‘We should have scored forty-five!'”
Belichick praised Brady for being a soccer player who never hesitated when he came to do the “difficult things.” He also wrote about the challenges faced by Brady’s training.
“Tom was difficult to train because he was very well prepared. I loved to train Brady, he took out the best of me,” Belichick wrote. “It was intelligent, mental and physically hard, and the most reliable player I have trained.”
On the other hand, Belichick’s much -discussed romance with former animator Jordon Hudson returned to the center of the stage after a recent television interview. Hudson was accused of trying to affirm his control during Belichick’s sitting with “CBS News Sunday Morning.” The interview was part of the promotional media tour. In the recognition of the book, Hudson is known as the “creative muse” of Belichick.
