The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government presented a bill on the provincial assembly on Monday to further obtain the governor’s wings that has already been replaced by the principal minister as the chancellor of the public sector universities. In this sense, the Institute of Management Sciences (amendment) The bill 2025 was presented at the Assembly, proposing amendments to the IM 2002 Science Ordinance to transform it into a law.

The bill also seeks to eliminate the governor as president of the Board of Governors and transfer this authority to the principal minister. To achieve this, an amendment has been proposed to Section 10, clause 1 of the IM 2002 Science Ordinance.

Once amended, the main minister will assume the role of president of the Board of Governors of 13 members, replacing the governor.

In addition, MPA Akbar Ayub presented the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Pak-Austria Fachhochschule, Haripur Bill 2025 at the Assembly.

Similarly, the law minister, AFTAB Alam, introduced a bill to amend the Shariah Nizam-E-an-Adal regulation, specifically reviewing the regulation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 2009, including section 6a, clause 1 and section 1 , clause 2.

The revised regulation will immediately enter into force, ensuring the extension of the possession of the assistant judges based on performance instead of temporal extensions.

Cabinet members do not address consultations

During the assembly session, the members of the cabinet could not answer questions about their respective departments.

Due to the unsatisfactory responses of the irrelevant MPA, all matters discussed during the time of the question were sent to the respective permanent committees.

The members of the Government and the opposition raised concerns about wildlife, forests, industry, environment, minerals and health departments. However, due to the absence of most cabinet members, their consultations were answered by other government representatives, whose responses were considered inappropriate.

As a result, the president’s panel sent all these matters to permanent committees. Some treasure members even criticized their own government, raising concerns about departmental performance. The session was chaired by the panel of President Taj Muhammad.

Forestry Low Scrutiny Department

During the time of the question, Mpa Abdul Ghani asked about the amount of plants bought by the forest department of a private nursery in the Khyber district in the last four years and the pending payments.

He affirmed that the department’s response was not satisfactory and that the private nursery still owed RS. 9 million.

In response, the Minister of Law, AFTAB Alam, declared that the payment had already been made and asked the MPA to present evidence so that appropriate measures could be taken.
