BISP obtains RS722b in well -being thrust


Islamabad:

The Government has assigned RS343.89 billion for the Ministry of Interior and its departments and RS722.48 billion for the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), a program for the reduction of unconditional cash poverty, according to budget documents.

It has also proposed an assignment of RS2,550 billion for defense expenses.

Within the allocation of the Ministry of Interior, RS21.26 billion is proposed for the territory of the capital of Islamabad (ICT), RS274.15 billion for the combined civil armed forces and RS1.05 billion for the National Authority of Counter -Rican (NACTA).

To the Ministry of Law and its departments have been assigned to RS23.42 billion. RS6.64 billion for the Supreme Court, RS2.17 billion for the Superior Court of Islamabad and RS9.86 billion for the Pakistan Electoral Commission are proposed. The National Responsibility Office (NAB) has been assigned to RS7.41 billion.

It is proposed that the office of the Prime Minister (internal) receive RS857.7 million, while the office of the prime minister (public) has been assigned RS896.5 million.

Compared to last year, this reflects an increase of RS124.5 million for the internal office and RS179.5 million for public office. The Intelligence Office (IB) is proposed to receive RS19.12 billion.

In terms of defense assignments, the Pakistan army will receive RS1,165.17 billion, the Pakistan Air Force RS520.74 billion and the Navy of Pakistan RS265.97 billion.

Social welfare programs have also received considerable funds. The BISP has been assigned to RS722.48 billion, while the Division of Poverty Relief will receive RS10.23 billion and Bait-ul-Mal RS14.2 billion. It is proposed that the Division of Railroads receive RS70.45 billion.

The National Assembly obtains RS16.29 billion, Senate RS9.05 billion in budget.

A total of RS5.08 billion for members of Parliament (MPS) have been proposed in terms of salaries and benefits, including RS2.58 billion for salaries and RS2.5 billion for travel expenses.

The budget for the assignments and benefits of MPS reflects an increase of RS2.17 billion. RS1.24 billion for the privileges of the presidents of the Permanent Committee have been assigned. For the speaker and vice president of the National Assembly, RS393.4 million have been proposed.

The opposition leader and staff have been assigned RS83.4 million. The total salaries and benefits of the senators are established in RS1,0638 billion, which shows an increase of RS4 billion.

The president, the vice president of the Senate and his staff will receive RS189.6 million, while RS1,4433 billion have been proposed for the presidents of the Senate Permanent Committee.

The Government has assigned RS933.7 million for the expenses of the president’s public office and RS1.75 billion for expenses and assignments of personal personnel.
