A new MINI PC has emerged with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 high -end chip of AMD, but this did not come from an important brand such as HP, Dell or Lenovo.
The Bosgame M5 AI Mini desktop has risen silently for pre-pedd, with a price of $ 1,699 (a saving of $ 1,000 discount on its usual MSRP of $ 2,700), and is raising some interesting questions about the AMD implementation strategy for its powerful Strix Halo Processor line.
The compact M5 comes with integrated Radeon 8060s graphics and includes support for up to 128 GB of RAM, SSD NVME Dual Pcie Gen 4 slots, a USB 4.0 front port, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. A double fan cooling configuration and three heat pipes are aimed at maintaining thermal performance under control.
Performance switch
As Notebook Look, the M5 has already appeared in the results of Geekbench. The list shows a single core score of 2,852, which is in line with expectations, but a lower multinucole score of 16,044. This probably points to the first firmware or software problems, since the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 generally averages around 21,000 in multinuk tests.
A curious detail about the M5 is the inclusion of a “performance performance” button, which is briefly shown in Bosgame’s promotional material. It is not clear what this alternative really does. It may be linked to TDP profiles, fan curves or some type of AI workload optimization, but for now we have no idea.
The Bosgame M5 AI Mini desktop includes Dual USB4 Type-C ports, multiple USB 3.2 and USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1 full size and Displayport 1.4 for multiple monitors configurations and a LAN RJ45 2.5GBPS port for networks with stable wiring.
A full -size SDXC card slot offers a convenient media transfer for photographers and cameramen, while dual audio outlets ensure a flexible sound input and output.
