Bpifrance, a French state investment bank, plans to invest 25 million euros ($ 27 million) in digital assets as part of an initiative to strengthen the country’s blockchain industry.
The bank will buy and maintain cryptographic tokens related to token, the rethinking and the rethinking of decentralized finances (Defi), said Thursday.
The plan is that investments support local blockchain projects in their early stages for the improvement of the broader blockchain industry in France in France
“Having the ability to invest directly in digital assets is an important step for BPIFRANCE and a pioneer initiative between sovereign wealth funds,” the bank said.
France emerged as a flouring cryptographic center in 2022, since it sought to avoid the introduction of the European Union markets in the regulation of cryptographic assets (Mica) and tempted a series of prominent cryptocurrency companies so that the country is its European base.
