Irina Shayk opened up about raising her 8-year-old daughter Leo De Seine, whom she shares with ex Bradley Cooper.
talking to People MagazineThe model shared how she is protecting her daughter Lea from “so many beauty standards that exist.”
Irina said: “I feel like there are so many standards of beauty, so of course I try to protect my daughter.”
He added: “It’s very important and I really hope it’s not a trend.”
Additionally, Irina hopes her daughter Lea will follow her to “defend who you are.”
Irina admitted that she learned to love herself over time, saying, “In this industry, there are so many things that you can refine and adjust now, and I always say, you just have to love who you are.”
“I’m literally at the right time in my life. I’m a mother and I feel very comfortable with myself,” Irina added. “Imperfections can be perfect. I mean, you can look at one of the most beautiful women in the world and she may not have a perfect nose, lips or ears, but that’s her beauty. So I’m championing natural beauty, celebrating who you are.”
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk welcomed daughter Lea in 2017 and separated two years later.
