- If you have Care Plus Theft and Loss, it’s now $0 for a same-day screen repair on a Galaxy phone.
- Samsung is making this change just ahead of its Galaxy Unpacked event on January 20.
- With the warranty, you’ll get unlimited screen repairs for $0 at same-day locations.
If you already own a Galaxy smartphone or are very curious about what might be coming Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025The tech giant has good news when it comes to its Care Plus warranty program.
For new and existing Samsung Care Plus Theft and Loss customers with a Galaxy smartphone, it will now cost just $0 to repair a broken screen instead of $29. That’s a considerable savings for a same-day repair of a cracked screen on a smartphone, and not to mention an unlimited amount. This means that if you break your screen multiple times, a same-day repair will cost $0 to get your device back online.
Considering that all of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones feature glass touchscreens, a crack is not only more likely (even with improvements to the build) but can actually take away from a phone’s functionality. And if it’s a particularly hard crack, it can cause problems for your fingers.
Depending on your Galaxy smartphone, Samsung Care Plus Theft and Loss can cost between $8 and $18 monthly. However, all tiers now feature unlimited same-day screen repairs for $0. You’re also covered for rear glass repairs, liquid damage, and even theft. Many of the plans also include setup help and general support.
Additionally, Samsung also offers Care Plus Theft and Loss for smartwatches and tablets, which benefit from this new $0 same-day screen repair. The good news is that while others repair associations have ceasedMore than 700 Samsung authorized locations can still perform the repair. This means you can bring in a damaged device with Care Plus Theft and Loss, repair it, and be on your way.
It’s probably no coincidence that Samsung is rolling out this new pricing adjustment for Care Plus Theft and Loss ahead of Galaxy Unpacked, where we expect to see the next Galaxy S family of smartphones: S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.
In fact, in the run-up to the January 20 event, You can now ‘pre-book’ the next Galaxy. We also wouldn’t be surprised to see some sort of Care Plus discount included alongside pre-orders of the upcoming smartphone, and considering the benefits that the extended warranty provides, it’s probably worth the investment.
