Printer Maker Brother has denied blocking in users to its own ink cartridges through the calls firmware updates.
The news occurred after the electronics technician and repair activist Louis Rossmann accused the company of updating its printer firmware to block the toner no oem or degrade performance.
Other Internet publications, including Reddit’s threads, have confirmed similar problems of other users, which noticed that print quality by using third parties.
Brother denies blocking third party ink

HP has faced demands and legal agreements on similar problems, with the CEO Enrique Lores that justifies the third -party ink blocking by citing improved security. At the end of 2023, CFO Marie Myers also noted that instant ink subscribers are 20% more profitable for the business.
