The Boston Bruins may have changed one of their franchise legends, but they would bring it back if the feeling is mutual.

The Bruins took Marchand in the third round of the NHL 2006 draft, and the left side quickly became a franchise star. He obtained four stars nominations while winning a Stanley Cup in Boston during the 2010-11 campaign.
Marchand won the reputation of being a plague on the ice, and had the statistics to support the garbage conversation.

In the Stanley Cup playoffs, Marchand played 23 games, scoring 10 goals and distributing 10 assists for a total of 20 points. He published a Plus-17, while he also had 48 minutes of leading penalty in the team.
The reason behind Marchand’s trade was due to his contract that expired, since he was playing in the last year of his eight -year contract in Boston. But no one thought that the team would go from “Marchy” despite the agreement, since both parties were expected to find common land in an extension.

The clock is running and Marchand will have to make a decision soon, although the ball is on the Panthers court until Tuesday.
