The Royal Family on Tuesday marked its annual summer retirement in Scotland with a new Instagram post that highlights almost two centuries of tradition in Balmoral Estate.
The post pointed out that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert began the custom in 1852, and that Scottish Highlands have served as a backdrop for official and private family moments.
The publication on social networks presented multiple photographs of King Carlos III and Queen Camilla in Balmoral, along with archive images of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who underlines the lasting role of the farm in real life.
The Daily Mail reported that Prince Andrew, Duke of York, has also joined the king and other senior reais in Balmoral this summer despite a series of harmful revelations.
The newspaper said that Andrew “honorably withdrew” to attend the Christmas meeting of the family in Sandringham last year to avoid being a distraction, after the reports that link him with an alleged Chinese spy.
