Budget on the way, on June 10 confirmed

The Government insisted on Thursday that a decision to postpone the federal budget for fiscal year 2025-26 has not been made, which clarifies that the date announced above of June 10 remains unchanged.

The clarification occurred in the midst of speculation regarding a possible delay due to EID holidays. “The federal budget will be presented on June 10,” said Federal Secretary of Finance, Imdad Ullah Bosal, to the media after leaving a committee meeting at the National Assembly.

He said that the date of the National Economic Council meeting (NEC) can be reviewed, while the next fiscal year budget is being completed in consultation with the IMF.

In addition, the Advisor of the Minister of Finance, Khurram Schehzad, wrote in X that a decision has not been made to postpone or reprogram the budget.

“As reported above, the next federal budget for fiscal year 2016 will be announced on June 10, 2025,” he wrote. “Similarly, the next economic survey of Pakistan FY25 is scheduled to announce on June 9, 2025.”
