Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has been granted interim bail in three more cases related to the party’s November 26 protest in Islamabad.

The interim bails were approved by Justice Shabbir Bhatti in a district and sessions court in Islamabad on Thursday. The court approved bail applications against bail bonds of Rs 50,000 till January 13, 2025, Express News reported.

Bushra Bibi appeared in court with her legal team for hearing of cases registered against her at Tarnol police station and Ramna police station, which involved a total of four first information reports (FIRs).

This follows a recent ruling by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi, which granted him interim bail in 32 other cases related to the same protest. These cases were filed at various police stations in Rawalpindi, Attock and Chakwal.

Earlier, on December 23, an accountability court in Islamabad postponed its verdict in the £190 million corruption case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.

The verdict was initially scheduled for today after the court reserved its decision for December 18, Express News reported.

However, Justice Nasir Javed Rana announced that the ruling would be delayed, taking into account the upcoming winter vacation and a course in the high court. The court’s official winter vacation begins December 24 and runs through January 1.

The judge stated that the verdict against Imran and Bushra will be announced on January 6, 2025.
