Bushra Bibi, the former first lady and wife of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, has refused to provide answers to police questions during investigation related to 20 cases of protest.

Police teams arrived at the Adial prison in Rawalpindi, where Bushra Bibi is celebrated, to include it in the investigation into the protests that were recently organized, said Express News.

The research officers, including AFZAL inspectors, Yaqub Shah, Rashid Kiyani and others, interrogated Bushra Bibi in the administrative block of the prison.

However, Bushra Bibi made it clear that she would not respond to police investigation until she consulted with her husband, Imran Khan, and her lawyer, Salman Safdar.

She declared that she required approval of them before she could provide a formal statement.

During a hearing on the 31 cases registered after November 26, Bushra Bibi appeared before Judge Amjad Ali Shah. She requested that she be allowed to meet with the founder of PTI Imran Khan and her lawyer to discuss her answer to police questions.

Bushra Bibi also requested that the consultation take place in her husband, Imran Khan, and her lawyer.

The court, following standard operational procedures (SOP), ordered that Bushra Bibi be allowed to meet with his lawyer and Imran Khan before continuing with the investigation.

The audience is postponed until March 7, 2025.

Last month, a local court in Islamabad dismissed three bail requests prior to the arrest presented by Bushra Bibi.

Additional session judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the requests on cases linked to the protests of November 26, said Express News.

Prosecutor Iqbal Kakhar and defense lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry appeared in court during the process.

Bushra Bibi’s lawyer submitted a request in search of exemption from the appearance.

The prosecutor argued that Bushra Bibi did not present the guarantee bonds as necessary. The judge expressed concern, stating: “He has not yet presented the guarantee bonds. He is not fulfilling the orders of the Court. “

Defensor lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry replied that Bushra Bibi had to appear before the court a decision on the reference of £ 90 million and was asked to visit the Adiala prison.

Subsequently, Judge Majoka dismissed bail supplications, noting that the interim bond previously granted to Bushra Bibi was valid only until the date of the hearing. The cases against it come from its alleged participation in protests held on November 26.
