The tensions were high at the beginning between Indiana Fover and Atlanta Dream on Thursday night.

The two teams were 48 hours removed from a battle that was reduced to the last seconds, which won the dream, 91-90. So, maybe there was some drag.

With less than 30 seconds for the first quarter, Caitlin Clark and Rhyne Howard exchanged some words and had to separate. Howard was playing the defense of the complete court in Clark, which was dripping on the court.

The referees whistled the work and the two ran into each other. Both seemed to extend an arm, and Clark began to move away from the situation before Howard took a step forward. But one of Howard’s teammates intervened quickly and took Howard.

“I’m not afraid of you,” Clark seemed to say, and was backed by his teammates.

Despite the tense weather on Thursday, they shared a fun at the beginning of this month in the preseason, when Howard was chosen in Clark’s ear after his exhibition, which caused a laugh of Clark.

It was a slow night in general for Clark, which had only six points in the last quarter. He had 27 points two nights before Atlanta.

Indiana continued, 75-71, with just over two minutes to the end, but the game ended in a 10-1 race. Clark added five points in the fourth quarter to end 11.

Clark’s teammate, Natasha Howard, led the way with 26 points, while Rhyne Howard fell 24.

The fight between Clark and Howard came five days after Clark and Angel Reese had to separate. Clark was called by a flagrant foul on Reese, who later had words for Clark.

The incident caused an investigation into alleged comments of hate towards Reese by fans in the game. Reese published a Tiktok again that said she is “insecure” playing in Indiana.
