Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, managed to kiss him on the camera on the weekend of the WNBA All-Star, but barely.
The viral images of an interaction between the couple appeared on Friday night, when Clark approaches McCaffery in the walls of Gainbridge Field House. With cameras on them, McCaffery bowed to kiss Clark, but while he, she turned her head.
McCaffery achieved a light kiss, next to his hair, while moving away. McCaffray then lowered his head.

The video caused mixed fans reactions, and many expressed suspicions and others expressing mockery.
McCaffery is a male basketball assistant coach at the University of Butler in Indiana. He previously made fun of social networks during a defeat against Austin Peay in November, when Fox College Hoops transmission showed Clark sitting on the stands.
The transmission name card identified it as “Caitlin Clark 2024 WNBA Rookie of the year.” Then, when the camera turned to McCaffery, a name card identified him as “Connor McCaffery Wnba Roty Caitlin Clark, the boyfriend.”

But the transmission even had to involve McCaffery’s little brother in the trick.
After ignoring the title of McCaffery, his brother Patrick McCaffry, who is a player in Butler’s team, was shown with a name card that said: “Patrick McCaffry Wnba Roty Caitlin Clark’s Browid’s Broty.”

Like Clark, Connor played basketball at the University of Iowa, where the couple met. He played in 166 games in Iowa, all for his father, former Hawkeyes chief coach Fran McCaffry.
Connor took care of injuries throughout his university career, but a year of red shirt and the Covid-19 campaign assigned six seasons. He arrived at the NCAA tournament in each of its full seasons, apart from its Covid season. He averaged 4.5 points and 3.0 rebounds, and played in 111 victories, drawing Jordan Bohannon for most in the history of the program. Its professional assistance ratio of 3.59 (527 assists to 147 ball losses) is the second best in the history of the NCAA.
The couple began to leave in April 2023 after Clark had led Iowa to run to the game for the NCAA title. But McCaffery was a senior at that time, and began his career as a coach just after graduating.

In May of that year, he began his career as an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers. McCaffrey ended with a job in Indiana before Clark knew he was going to play for Indiana’s fever. For fate, the fever ended with a record bad enough last season to win the best selection in the WNBA Draft lottery this year, which also sent Clark to Indiana.
Now, even with McCaffery’s new work, Butler’s campus would be only seven miles from the fever sand, Gainbridge Field House. Then, his destiny will remain together in Indianapolis for now.
Last August, during the rest of the WNBA Olympic Games, the couple made a trip to New York City to see a Yankees game. However, Clark was only seen taking a tour of the Yankees Club House, and only Clark took photos with star players Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo and Juan Soto.

Clark sent an Instagram birthday publication in honor of McCaffery last Sunday while she and the team faced the Dallas Wings. Clark shared several snapshots of her and McCaffery on social networks while turning 27.
“Happy happy birthday. Happy Better Better and I couldn’t be more grateful. That this is the best year so far, I love you,” he wrote in the subtitle of the publication.
