The ESPN star, Stephen A. Smith, suggested on Wednesday that Indiana’s fever star, Caitlin Clark, was responsible for some of the resentments towards her in the WNBA.
Smith and the panelists of “First Toma” Monica McNutt and Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo broken down the skirmishes between fever and the Connecticut Sun players. Clark was at the receiving end of an eye blow of the Sun Guardia Jacy Sheldon and was then beaten on the floor by Marina Mabrey.

Clark and Sun players were talking about garbage throughout the game when tensions began to increase early and finally boil. Sophie Cunningham also got into the fray with a strong foul on Sheldon at the end of the game. Both players were expelled.
Smith reiterated his position that he believed that there was “resentment” towards Clark, but said he had no problem with the frenzy that took place in Gainbridge’s house, pointing out the highly competitive nature of all athletes on the court.
“Now, this is what it is, because I want to make sure that everyone understands what I’m going to say,” Smith began. “Caitlin Clark is that ‘Golden Goose’ per se, that ‘the ascending tide that all the ships are raising’, I keep my past proclamations that there is resentment towards her for that. But I want to take a step further. There is also a resentment towards her because she instigates the resentment towards her sometimes. Oh, Caitlin can applaud in now now, Caitlin can antagonize him now.

Sparks faces a violent reaction after users of social networks accuse the WNBA team to publish ‘SED traps’
“Remember, at the University, the whole thing of the Angel Reese began because when Caitlin was giving it to everyone else, she was the one who stirred her face and that is why when Angel reese and lsu got it, Angel Reese was like (waves in front of her face), ‘Yes, it is your turn.” He came from there.
Smith pointed out that Clark makes his right part of speaking garbage and can distribute it as well as anyone.
Then he compared it to the legend of the Boston Celtics, Larry Bird.
“In addition to the fact that I could play … but it’s like what Larry Bird was when Larry Bird was shooting the lights and things like that, but Larry Bird also spoke garbage,” he said. “Dr. J was one of the most pleasant and sweet people on the planet. People said they were making house calls, helping to invite the NBA to the United States living room, and Dr. J threw Larry Bird. Why? Because Larry Bird says:” I’m going to hit this jumper here in you, “I’m going to this 3 in you,” Bam! … Caitlin Clak is that person too. He simply loves because that is sports. “

The WNBA gave an additional fine to Cunningham for its participation in the failures after the lack of Sheldon. He received a standard fine automatically for the foul Flagrant-2. Mabrey’s technique foul was updated to a Flagrant-2 foul, and received a standard fine for that.
