At his first meeting with journalists this year, Caleb Williams immediately went to “what everyone would love to ask.”

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Williams had preferred to go to Minnesota and even tried to avoid being recruited by the Chicago Bears, who finally selected him No. 1 in general.

Williams admitted that history had become a “distraction” and felt it was important to talk about circumstances.

The second -year field marshal did not denied exactly what was said in the book, “but something that continues to lose and not addressed is the fact that” “wanted to come” to Chicago after visiting them, which he did after his meeting with the Vikings.

Williams said his “thoughts” about the Bears were “righteous”, considering “there has not been a 4,000 -yard,” pin. ” Williams’s 4,030 total yards were the main ones for a field marshal of the Bears.

“But I came here on a visit, and it is a challenge to be able to turn around. And that was the main objective of all that. Through everything that happened last year and in previous years, I think that was attractive,” said Williams.

“That was something that was dazzling. I wanted to come here and be the guy and be a part and be a reason why Chicago Bears change this. That is the last thing that was said in all that, I think, it is the most important thing is that I wanted to be here. I love being here.”

Williams even called Matt Eberflus and Shane Waldron, the chief coach and offensive coordinator since then, like those who were grateful.

The former offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions, Ben Johnson, became the new Bears chief coach this low season. It was a movement for which Williams was “extremely excited”, to the point that he even thanked Bears Brass in a phone call.

“Then, once I left the phone, I was driving along the road, and I don’t know if it was safe or not, but I gave him a strong scream and a cry of emotion,” Williams said at the time of hiring.

“It brings a lot of clarity to the low season. It brings a lot of different things to the low season. I am really excited about the Bears and be able to make this happen. And keep Ben Johnson as our coach for a long time.”
