Karachi:
The unqualified murder of people by accelerating the Dumpers driven by uncommon conductors already often poisoned has sent shock waves throughout the government, as well as in political and social circles.
The Minister of Special Taxes and Taxes of Sindh, Mikesh Kumar Chawla, ordered a strict action against the Dumpers not registered in the city.
The Secretary of Taxes and Taxes held a meeting to consider the growing incidents of death and injuries due to exhaustive dumpeters; It was discovered that many of these were not registered.
Chawla who goes to the meeting
He said that the Special Tax Department will collaborate with the Traffic Police to abuse the unregistered Dumpers. The meeting agreed with the repression of illegal Dumpers.
Separately, the governor of Sindh, Kamran Tessori, requested the implementation of fixed times for heavy traffic in the city. Heavy traffic is allowed in the boundaries of the city only from 12 am to 7 am, however, dumperadores, tank trucks and trucks continue on roads 24 hours, particularly during peak hours. Tessori pressed for imposing the curfew for heavy traffic in the city.
Roads or death traps
Eleven people killed in 24 hours due to bus truck collisions and Dumper should be enough to awaken the authorities, said Muttahida’s movement Qaumi-Pakistan. The parliamentary leader of MQM-P and his deputy in the Sindh assembly have expressed a great concern about the alarming number of traffic accidents in the metropolis, where 11 people lost their lives in several incidents in the last 24 hours.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the parliamentary leader of MQM-P Iftikhar Alam condemned the “reckless actions of the Dumper mafia” and the illegal trailer that operated in the city. “His unusual movements have become a great threat to public safety,” he added.
Alam criticized the Government of Sindh and the Traffic Police for its lack of action, stating that they are simply passive observers, which has contributed to the growing accident rate.
Alam requested the strict application of the operating hours designated so that the Dumpers and trailers improve the safety of citizens on the roads.
Meanwhile, the parliamentary leader of MQM-P, Taha Ahmed Khan, strongly criticized the government of Sindh for its “inability to guarantee road safety”, blaming her incompetence for the increase in death on the roads of the city.
“Karachi’s roads have become death traps! Uncontrolled Dumpers are claiming innocent lives, who is responsible?” Taha Ahmed Khan questioned. He condemned the 15 -year mandate of the Sindh government, arguing that despite the decision for more than a decade, he has not been able to provide even basic road safety measures for citizens.
He urged the government to immediately enforce time restrictions on heavy traffic and ensure that large vehicles are prohibited by the main roads of the city during peak hours. MQM-P leader emphasized the need for stricter laws to regulate heavy vehicles and avoid more tragedies. “The MQM-P meets the victims and demands immediate action to control heavy traffic in Karachi,” he said.
