- Laptop frame 16 dual adapters m.2 combine four units for mass capacity
- PCIE GEN4 guarantees faster data access and a perfect multitasking
- Interchangeable components allow easy updates and extended usability
Framework has announced that its portable device 16 can now install up to 26 TB of SSD storage of Gen4 Superfast Gen4.
This capacity impulse is achieved by using a M.2 dual SSD adapter along with SN850x WD_Black high capacity, allowing users to combine four units (two pairs connected through dual adapters) to achieve the capacity to Maximum storage.
The design philosophy of the framework modular laptop allows users to easily exchange components such as the main, memory modules and even the entire shells when necessary, which helps to extend the useful life of the device, reduce waste and Promote sustainability through easier repairs.
Expand storage possibilities
Framework flexibility also takes advantage of PCIE GEN4 technology for faster data access and transfer.
The modular design also encourages an open source community where developers contribute new designs of software modules and solutions. According to Framework, the Shell of the Open Source Graphics module of the laptop 16 has inspired new module developments, such as an electronic paper display input module.
Expanding its commitment to open hardware, Framework also launched the RISC-V DC-Roma Deepcomputing motherboard for the framework laptop 13.
Driven by the Starfive JH7110 processor and based on open source RISC-V ISA, this plate is designed mainly for developers seeking to accelerate the RISC-V software ecosystem.
