Tempers flared at an Olympic curling match between Canada and Sweden on Friday with a profane insult after accusations of cheating were made.
Canada beat Sweden 8-6, and third-place Canadian Marc Kennedy and Swede Oskar Eriksson became involved after Eriksson accused Kennedy of an illegal procedure called double-tapping stones after dropping them in the pig line.
Kennedy yelled at Eriksson: “I haven’t done it once. You can go fuck yourself.”

Eriksson responded: “I’ll show you a video after the game. I’ll show you a video where he’s two meters above the pig line.”
Both sides appealed to officials, but the results were not changed.
Swedish team leader Fredrik Lindberg said in a statement: “At this time, the Swedish Olympic Committee will not request an investigation into the events that occurred during Friday’s match,” according to The National Review.

Kennedy responded to the accusations after the game.
“I have great respect for Oskar Eriksson,” he said. “He’s one of the best players to ever play. I just told him… I would never accuse you of cheating. I’ve been on the tour for 25 years. He put a hog line official on us to make sure we weren’t playing twice. The hog line official was there for six ends, never said anything, and is still talking about it in the ninth end.

“I don’t like being accused of cheating, so I told him what I thought about it.”
According to World Curling policy, a moving rock cannot be touched beyond the hog line, but it is not a violation if a thrower touches the rock twice before the line.
