Islamabad:
London’s Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has signed its first official association with a Pakistani hospital, Novacare Hospital, to share the best clinical practices and promote the development of medical care personnel.
According to the agreement, Imperial College NHS will provide an expert consultation in hospital planning, training and clinical guidance. In return, the affiliation rates generated by Novacare will be reinvirmed in the NHS Services of Imperial in the United Kingdom.
The Novacare hospital, currently under construction in the Islamabad Phase, is scheduled to open in 2026. Its objective is to provide advanced medical care in 28 clinical specialties, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, neurology and maternal health. The installation will have intelligent buildings management systems, elevators optimized by AI-AI and vanguard and falling infections control technologies.
The high British commissioner Jane Marriott CMG OBE described the association as a milestone in health collaboration. “This agreement is carrying the United Kingdom world health experience to Pakistan and, in turn, supports the NHS of the United Kingdom. By sharing best practices and helping to develop clinical personnel, this association will directly help save lives,” he said.
The initiative is part of the broader strategy of the United Kingdom to export clinical NHS standards worldwide. The association will also allow Novacare doctors to observe multidisciplinary meetings of the NHS, consult specialists in the United Kingdom to obtain second opinions and receive training based on NHS protocols.
In addition, complex cases can be sent to the private facilities of Imperial in London, further supporting the health income of the United Kingdom.
Marriott, accompanied by the commercial envoy of the United Kingdom to the MP of Pakistan Mohammad Yasin during his three -day visit to the country, toured the construction site of Novacare. The delegation met with the key executives of Novacare and Andalus Holdings, including CEO Johannes Kedzierski, director Faraz Minai, partner Ghalib Hafiz, director Mustafa Hassan and the director of the Qaiser Rafiq project.
