Despite suffering a broken leg last season, Ovechkin returned to score 44 goals and break the Gretzky record.
“I’m looking forward to that next year,” he added. “I’m going to try to do everything possible to play, and my team will also help me … I just want to go back next year and see the team that is able to win the Stanley Cup.”
