Amid the absence of extended lesions of Caitlin Clark of Indiana fever, at least one media expert has suggested that the team is better without the superstar.
Carolyn Peck de Espin said on Thursday that Indiana is a “more dangerous” team without Clark on the floor.

“I think Indiana is even more dangerous when Caitlin Clark doesn’t play, because she is a dominant ball guard,” he said. “The ball is in his hands a lot, so you know what you should try to take off. But when you look at Indiana now, they have so many weapons.”
Peck praised the fever players Kelsey Mitchell, Aari McDonald and Aliyah Boston. Peck did not seem to praise the stars of the fever Sophie Cunningham or Lexie Hull.
“When you have a shipowner like Kelsey Mitchell, and Aari McDonald making plays on the perimeter, and a publication like Aliyah Boston, I will tell you: Indiana, they are a threat. And it is specifically at the defensive extreme,” Peck said.
Peck’s comments became viral on social networks, inciting the wrath of Clark’s faithful followers.
The founder of Barstool, Dave Portnoy, returned to publish the clip of Peck’s comments in X, writing: “I knew this was going to happen.”
The popular Sports Commentary X “Brickscenter” also shared the clip, writing: “His hatred towards CC needs to be studied.”

“ESPN would be much more ‘dangerous’ without Carolyn Peck,” a user wrote.
Another user wrote: “All Peck’s shots on CC last year ended up being wrong and I don’t expect anything different from this season.”
A user even went so far as to say: “ESPN analyst, Carolyn Peck, is an enemy and a fool.”
Peck was the female basketball chief coach in Purdue when the current chief coach of Faver, Stephanie White, was a player there. Together, they won the NCAA title in 1999.
Clark has lost the last four games of the team with an injury to the groin and a fifth will be lost on Saturday against the Sparks. Previously five games were lost with a quadruple lesion.
