ISLAMABAD:
The top court has released the list of cases for its seven-member Constitutional Bench (CB), which will resume hearing appeals against the Supreme Court order in the military courts case on January 7.
The CB headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan comprises Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Musarrat Hilali, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
PTI’s Sher Afzal Marwat’s petition on election fraud is also scheduled for hearing on January 7. The same court will also hear the enforced disappearances case on January 8.
The CB will hear PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz’s review petition on January 9. He will also take up the case reviewing the ruling of the former deputy speaker of the Punjab Assembly.
A hearing is also scheduled for Jan. 10 on a petition challenging the discretionary powers of chief justices. The CB will also hear a petition against the ban on student unions on January 10.
The constitutional petition on alleged fraud in the February 8 general elections, filed by PTI founder Imran Khan, is scheduled for hearing next week.
