Field Marshal visits Lahore garrison and receives briefing on operational readiness

Chief of Defense Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Thursday reiterated the army’s zero-tolerance policy towards any threat to national security, reaffirming the institution’s unwavering resolve to confront multifaceted challenges.
Field Marshal Asim visited the Lahore Garrison where he was briefed comprehensively on the formation’s operational readiness, training standards and key initiatives to improve combat efficiency, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Reiterating the core mission of the army, Field Marshal Asim noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in safeguarding the sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability of the country, while fostering a culture of excellence, discipline and selfless national service.
In their address to the officers, “COAS and CDF emphasized Pakistan Army’s zero-tolerance policy towards any threat to national security, reaffirming the institution’s unwavering resolve to confront multifaceted challenges with focus, professionalism and determination,” the press release stated.
“Reiterating the core mission of the Army, he noted that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in safeguarding the sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability of the country, while fostering a culture of excellence, discipline and selfless national service,” he added.
Earlier, the CDF were received by the Lahore Corps Commander upon their arrival at the Lahore Garrison. “The COAS and CDF witnessed a specialized field training exercise that showcased the latest technologies, underlining the Army’s emphasis on innovation and adaptability to adapt to the dynamic future battlefield,” the ISPR said.
Field Marshal Asim also inspected the sports and recreational facilities offered to the troops, highlighting their importance in maintaining physical fitness, morale and general well-being.
During the visit, the army chief also visited a high-care facility at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Lahore. He praised the efforts of the medical staff and administration in establishing a fully equipped state-of-the-art healthcare facility.
