The Los Angeles Chargers are winners in Brazil to begin the 2025 NFL season, as they knocked down the Kansas City Chiefs, 27-21, Friday night.
The Chiefs had won the previous seven clashes against their AFC West rival, but Justin Herbert and the Chargers ended with that streak, since they played almost impeccable football in São Paulo, Brazil.
The Chiefs lost a key player in the offensive only three plays in the game, since Xavier Worthy collided with Travis Kelce and suffered a shoulder injury that eliminated him the rest of the game. He thought he thought to be a main objective for Mohamses, with Chief coach Andy Reid pointing out that he had a good game plan for the second year receiver in this game.

Without him, the Chiefs collided in the offensive to start the game, but Herbert and the Chargers were locked from the beginning.
They reached a start of a seven played touchdown campaign crowned by a five-yard strike by Quentin Johnston to quickly put 7-0 in the last quarter. Cameron Dicker would add his first field goal of the season to put on 10-0, while the chiefs hit their first three units.
Chargers fans bother

The fourth quarter was the most exciting in this Brazilian fight, since Travis Kelce was released for a 37 -yard touchdown capture and escape for his first score of the year. That did 20-18, since the Chiefs failed to convert their two-point attempt.
The whole impulse was with Kansas City, but once again, the Chargers responded against their divisional enemy. Herbert ran to his right on the 23 -yard line of Kansas City and launched a weapon pass to Johnston for his second touchdown of the game.
The 27-18 gap was needed in the middle of the last quarter, since Mahomes would launch a 49-yard pass in the race towards Marquise “Hollywood” Brown in the room and 7 to put the chiefs in the red zone. They had to settle for a field goal, but they were inside a touchdown and needed a defense stop.
But the story of this game was that Herbert did exactly what was needed to respond to the Chiefs, and did so in a third and 14 crucial, going out of the pocket and going 19 yards to seal the victory in Brazil.
Herbert was phenomenal for the chargers, since it was 25 of 34 for 318 yards and three touchdowns in victory. Johnston finished with 79 yards in five trapped, while Ladd McConkey had six trapped for 74 yards. Allen also had seven trapped for 68 yards and a score.

For the Chiefs, Mohomes was 24 of 39 for the air for 258 yards and a touchdown, while led the team on the ground with 57 yards per land in six hauling. Brown had 10 trapped for 99 yards, while Kelce only had two trapped for 47 yards and a touchdown.
