This is what ChatGPT looks like when you ask it a query, and yes, it’s a little empty with the circle constantly spinning on mobile; It also looks the same in the web app right now.
OpenAI confirms a problem
Down Detector reports are starting to go up
It’s not a resolution update, but OpenAI updated its status page at 2:57 pm ET and wrote: “We are investigating the issue for the listed services.” under the same “Increased ChatGPT error rates”. It appears that the OpenAI teams are further investigating the causes of the high error rates.
Through my ChatGPT Plus account on the web, I still don’t receive any response from the AI, and the spinning, or rather glowing, circle only lasts a few minutes.
ChatGPT could return for some
Here’s some good news: Lance Ulanoff, TechRadar’s editor-at-large, is chatting once again with ChatGPT. For some, this could be a sign that the AI chatbot is making a comeback. I’ll try it too, but my original query keeps spinning.
OpenAI says it has applied a fix for ChatGPT’s increasing error rates
At 3:12 pm ET, OpenAI says ChatGPT should be back for most users or closer to normal operations, writing: “We have applied mitigation and are monitoring the recovery.” The state color has also returned to green, indicating that it is operational, instead of yellow.
And at the same time, my ChatGPT is now responding to my queries again, so this might be one of the shortest issues with AI Chatbot in recent times.
Fall detector reports are decreasing
OpenAI is still monitoring the ChatGPT recovery, but we are approaching 30 minutes after the fix was deployed. The status page is still operational and the fall detector reports have continued to drop.
