If you have ever used a voice assistant as the advanced voice mode of Google Chatgpt or Gemini Live, you will know that these tools really press to have the last word.
In fact, only a couple of months ago, I used the advanced chatgpt voice mode as Sous-Chef in the kitchen, and I had to turn it off because I could not deal with the audition, “let me know if you need something”, once again.
Given that Chatgpt always wants to have the last word, it was only a matter of time before someone saw what happens when Chatgpt tries to have the last word, with, you guessed, Chatgpt.
The senior editor of the Techradar, Graham Barlow, sent me a video this morning, and I have not been able to stop laughing since then. It shows two iPhones that communicate through Chatgpt, with both unable not responding to a farewell message.
Every time he believes that the conversation is about to finish, Chatgpt responds, prolongs the useless chat and emphasizes how annoying it is really chatgpt.
Chatgpt knows chatgpt
This Instagram reel shows the horror of living with two chatgpt sessions open at the same time, and stands out how frustrating it can be to use an AI chatbot.
Whether you always want the last word in a conversation, or you always agree with you and change your opinion about a whim to match your expectations, Chatgpt continues to show why it is not as intelligent as Openai and Sam Altman would make you believe.
Obviously, these problems are not exclusive to Chatgpt, in fact I would suspect that Gemini Live would have a very similar conversation with itself. Just remember that the next time I am worried that AI seizes the world, you still can’t understand how to finish a chat.
