Chehlum observed through Pakistan with religious reverence

Imam Hussain’s Chehlum (RA) and Karbala martyrs were observed in Karachi with religious reverence and solemnity. The Central Duel Meeting (Majlis-E-Aza) was held at Nishtar Park under the auspices of Pak Muharram Hall, where the famous scholar Allama Shahenshah Naqvi delivered a sermon in the tribulations of the Ceba Ahl-E.

After Majlis, Chehlum’s main procession began and proceeded along Ma Jinnah Road to Imambargah Ali Raza, where Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi directed the Congregational Prayers of Zuhrain.

Karbala honest martyrs in Rawalpindi

The grandson of the Holy Prophet (SAW), Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), and Karbala’s martyrs were observed in Rawalpindi with solemn reverence, deep religious fervor and sincere devotion.

Six duel processions, with Zuljinnah, Tazia and Alam, were taken in memory of the martyrs, which culminated late at night in Imambargah Qadeem after following their designated routes.

Along the procession roads, stalls were established that offered cold water, soft drinks and tea. The mourners paid tribute to the eternal sacrifice of the martyrs of Karbala for the cause of Islam through elegies (Nauhakhwani), hitting the chest (Matam) and the self -flagellation with chains (Zanjeerzani).

The first duel procession began at 1:30 pm of Imambargah Aashiq Hussain, through Teli Mohalla, Murree Road, Chowk and Iqbal Road committee before merging with the main procession of Colonel Imambargah Maqbool Hussain.

Zuhr and ASR congregational sentences were offered in Fawwara Chowk, while Maghib and Isha prayers were held in Jamia Masjid Road. Women and children participated in large quantities.

Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah processions, Imambargah Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh, and Imambargah Shuhada-E-Karbala, all with Zuljinnah, converged in Purana Qila Chowk. The Central Procession of Imambargah Baltistania, Angat Pura, began in Dingi Khoi, proceeded through Banni Chowk and Jamia Masjid Road, and concluded in Imambargah Qadeem in Maghrib.

A security detail that includes 4,000 people was deployed, with called rangers and the Triple-one brigade was placed on red alert. The processions were closely monitored through drones and closed circuit television cameras.
