Rawalpindi:
Six important duel processions will be carried out in Rawalpindi and Islamabad to commemorate the chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and Karbala’s martyrs on Friday.
Processions will be carried out in unprecedented security measures, including a complete closure of the metropolitan bus service, internet and mobile networks.
All processions routes were sealed from 1 in the morning on Thursday. A total of 8,500 police personnel have been deployed, and all participants will be monitored through drones and 500 CCTV cameras. Carrying weapons, lighters or canes is strictly prohibited.
Five locations along the procession routes have been declared highly sensitive, with rangers and commands deployed for additional safety.
A control room has been activated, and the Army Triple-one brigade remains on a maximum alert throughout the day. The mounted police units are also duty.
The first procession will begin at 12:30 pm from the Imambargah Ashiq Hussain in Teeli Mohalal
Other processions include those of Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah at 2:30 PM, Imambargah Shaheedan-E-Karbala (Tire Bazaar) at 4:45 pm, Imambargah Darbar Shah Chan Charagh at 3:30 pm and Imambargah Baltistaniya at 1:00 pm.
These processions will conclude in Imambargah Qadeem around 12:30 am after going through Murree Road, Chowk Committee, Iqbal Road, Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazaar and other key areas.
Participants will carry out traditional grief rituals at each intersection. Congregational prayers for Zuhr, ASR, Maghrib and Isha will be held in Fawara Chowk and Jamia Masjid Road, respectively. Water, tea and medical camps are installed along the routes.
The attached commissioner has imposed section 144, ordering the closure of all markets, squares and mosques along the procession routes.
Residents are prohibited from standing on roofs, balconies or windows. The entrance is restricted only by doors of travel, and all attendees will be registered in three layers of security.
Double driving in motorcycles was prohibited, and all parking and construction materials are prohibited along the routes. The commands will also be parked on the roofs along both sides of the routes, particularly the two -hour stretch from Fawara Chowk to Dangi Khoi, which has been marked as a high -risk area and will be personally monitored by the senior city officials.
Police and commands have also been deployed for greater security.
