- China opens two research on US chips policies and the alleged discharge practices
- Beijing says that US restrictions discriminate against Chinese companies and interrupt global supply chains
- Commercial conversations in Madrid are expected to address tariffs, export curbs and Tiktok deadline
China has opened two research on the commercial practices of the US chips, PakGazette information.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, the first investigation will focus on whether Chinese companies have faced unfair treatment under Washington Chips policies.
The second investigation refers to the statements that some analog chips in the United States, including those found in headphones, and Wi-Fi routers are being thrown into the Chinese market.
Protectionist practices
The authorities say that the United States has imposed multiple restrictions on China’s access to advanced technology in recent years, ranging from export limits to specific commercial reviews.
The Ministry describes these as “protectionist practices” that “are suspected to discriminate against China and are destined to stop and suppress the development of China’s high -tech industries, such as advanced computing chips and artificial intelligence.”
The United States has introduced and tightened a series of restrictions on the export of advanced IA chips to China, including high -end NVIDIA processors used to train great AI models.
The US government states that the action is necessary to prevent Chinese companies from obtaining technology that can improve China’s military capacities.
The measures, introduced for the first time in 2022 and expanded in the subsequent years, block the sales of the A100 and H100 nvidia chips, as well as modified versions made for the Chinese market.
American officials argue that controls are necessary for national security, while Beijing says they are unfairly addressed to Chinese companies and interrupt global supply chains.
PakGazette Reports that Beijing is sending a delegation to Madrid for commercial conversations with US officials, with the agenda ready to cover tariffs, export controls and the future of Tiktok, which faces a deadline of September 17 to disiniate their US operations.
“What is the intention of the United States by imposing sanctions on Chinese companies at this time?” The ministry asked in a statement.
“China urges the United States to immediately correct their wrong practices and cease their unjustified suppression of Chinese companies. China will take the necessary measures to resolve the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.”
The Ministry’s comments follow the Washington movement to expand its restricted trade list by 32 entities, including China 23.
Among them, PakGazette He says, there are two companies accused of obtaining chip manufacturing tools for SMIC, the largest Chinese chips producer in China.
