China to train two Pakistani astronauts


Islamabad:

China will select and train two Pakistan astronauts for the next space missions, according to an announcement made by the Morted Space Agency of China (CMSA) on Wednesday.

One of the selected candidates is expected to serve as a specialist in payload aboard a future mission to the China Space Station.

During a press conference held in Jiuquan, Gansu, China, the CMSA spokesman, Lin Xiqiang, declared that the Pakistani astronaut chosen will carry out scientific experiments designed by Pakistan, in addition to performing standard tasks as a crew member while reporting in orbit, China’s economic net (CEN).
