China welcomes the announcement of the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan to improve their diplomatic relations of the position of matters D to the ambassador level, the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of China, Lin Jian, said on Wednesday.
When heading to a regular news session, he said that recently, the Pakistani government and the Afghan interim government announced that the relations between Pakistan-Fanganistan at the ambassador level would improve.
“China appreciates this and believes that it will help Pakistan and Afghanistan improve mutual trust, strengthen cooperation and jointly maintain peace and stability in the region,” he added.
The spokesman said that this is also an important positive measure for Pakistan and Afghanistan to implement the results of the informal meeting of foreign ministers of China, Afghanistan and Pakistan in May of this year.
“China is willing to continue playing a constructive role in promoting the improvement and development of relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan,” he added.
