The Chinese manufacturer Seaviv has revealed the aidsAtation R1, a premium mini pc that uses the Apu Ryzen Ai Max+ 395 “Strix Halo” by AMD.
The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 offers 16 CPU Zen 5 and 32 threads, providing a high multiple subprocess performance for creative, AI and demanding professionals charges.
The Integrated 8060s 8060s IGPU has forty computer units, which makes it capable of matching the discreet GPUs, such as the RTX 5060 laptop computer GPU.
Strix Halo Mini PCS continues to flood the market
After the debut of the first PC Mini Strix Halo, the GMKTEC EVO-X2, more than a dozen models now present this chip, including Zbook Ultra G1A, Beelink AI Mini, Aoostar Nex395 of HP, including others.
In synthetic reference points, this processor competes with chips such as Ryzen 9 7945Hx3D and is between Max and M4 Max of Apple.
The R1 aid system is shared between the CPU and the IGPU. That means that up to 96 GB can function as a vram within Windows.
This allows workloads such as large language model inference that generally exceed the limits of consumption GPUs.
The outstanding distinction of this workstation is the inclusion of an SD 4.0 slot, a characteristic that is rarely seen in similar systems.
Photographers, cameramen and designers who trust rapid and direct files transfers will love this function because they can move files without the need for external card readers.
This detail only distinguishes it in a crowded category dominated by high specification devices without such convenience for creators.
SEAVIV equips HelpAsaStation R1 with a double fan triple pipe cooler designed to maintain high load low load.
However, how well this commercial PC works during the prolonged use of great use will only be clear after practical tests.
The connectivity is extensive, including USB4 Dual Type-C ports with Displayport 1.4 support and Triple USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.
It also offers USB 2.0 dual, HDMI 2.1, Displayport 1.4, Ethernet and dual audio connectors.
Wi-Fi 7 further modernizes its wireless network options, and a second PCIE 4.0 m.2 slot remains free for additional storage updates.
The R1 aid is sent only in a configuration so far, matching 128 GB of LPDDR5x-8000 memory with 2 TB of solid state storage.
This device, with a price of 13,999 yuan (around $ 1,960), is clearly addressed to users willing to invest in high capacity hardware, but only a few PC Strix Halo Mini are available for less than $ 2,000.
At the time of writing, no details have been provided about a global launch, leaving potential buyers out of China insecure of their availability.
